Megane Mercury’ o ‘Megane’ es un artista multidisciplinar con base en Madrid que usa las artes visuales como su medio principal de expresión. También escribe canciones, canta, produce y elabora la dirección creativa de todos sus proyectos musicales y visuales. Megane también hace modelaje e interpretación.
Entre sus intereses están las identidades disidentes, capturar la cotidianidad, el cine, lo documental y toda cosa que le cause placer visual o curiosidad.
Actualmente ha sacado a la luz y producido 2 EP's: Desamor y Pop-Rock para Adolescentes (2021) y FR33 B33F (2020). En 2021 fue uno de los ganadores de las Sesiones de Movistar+ Rookies y ha actuado en el ciclo madrileño 'Veranos de la Villa'. En 2022 ha sido uno de los ganadores del concurso Mad Cool Talent by Vibra Mahou, obteniendo como premio actuar en el Mad Cool Festival 2022. Durante 2022 también ha actuado en el Festival BAM y en el VIII Encuentro Cultura y Ciudadanía: "Cuerpos y culturas. Diversidad étnico-racial, participación cultural y convivencia" celebrado en Sevilla.
Ha colaborado como performer con la directora Shu Lea Cheang en su pieza '3x3x6' curada por Paul B. Preciado con el Museo de Bellas Artes de Taipei como comisario para una instalación de arte que se expuso en la 58ª Bienal de Venecia.
Comisariado por Ángela Rodríguez Perea, Megane ha participado en la exposición ‘Fragmentos en Bozal – Nueva Fotografía Afroespañola’ como parte del OFF de la XIV Bienal de Dakar (2022) en el Instituto Cervantes de Dakar, junto a otros artistas como Rubén H. Bermúdez, Agnes Essonti Luque y Sol Bela Mele.
Invitado por Lua Ribeira, Megane participó en un Live Lab para PHotoESPAÑAen 2021, junto a artistas como Antoine d'Agata y Ricardo Cases.
Megane es, también, el ganador de la primera 'Queer Creative Fund' que Polyester Zine y Monki lanzaron en 2021, habiendo hecho un proyecto para una portada digital de Polyester.
Aprovechando la oportunidad de realizar la portada digital para Polyester Zine, Megane realizó su primer corto-documental 'Mis Amigas' que ha sido estrenado este noviembre (2022) en el Nahia Film Fest de Granada (España) como parte de la selección oficial del festival.
'Mis Amigas' es un retrato audiovisual que trata la amistad y el mutuo apoyo en entornos artísticos. A la vez que plasma los pensamientos y situación actual del panorama artístico español a través de la visión de 10 artistes racializades LGBTIQ+ residentes en Madrid.
Ha colaborado o trabajado de diversas maneras con marcas, organizaciones/entidades, revistas y eventos como: ‘Tinder’, ‘Bimba y Lola’, ‘Levi’s’, ‘GANT’, ‘WAG1 Magazine’, ‘Metal Magazine', ’Lithium Magazine’ ‘Apoyo Positivo’, ‘Valle Eléctrico’, ‘Absolut Manifesto’, y ‘Conciencia Afro’ entre otras. Vogue Spain le nombró como uno de los ‘HOT TALENTS 2021’.

Megane Mercury’ or ‘Megane’ is a Madrid-based multidisciplinary artist who uses visual arts as their main form of expression. They also perform as a singer-songwriter and music producer, and lead the artistic direction of all their musical and visual projects. Megane also works in modeling and acting.
Amongst their interests include dissident identities, everyday life through film, movies, documentation, and things that provoke their sense of visual pleasure or curiosity.
They have self-produced 2 EP’s, Desamor y Pop-Rock para Adolscentes (2021) and FR33 B33F (2020) along with singles such as ’31 de enero’, ‘El L1o’ and ‘Q tengo q hacer’ with national acknowledgment for their musical work as a Movistar+ Rookie of the Year, and performed at Madrid’s Veranos de la Villa. They is one of the winners of the contest Mad Cool Talent by Vibra Mahou, having as a prize the opportunity to play at the Mad Cool Festival in 2022. During 2022 they has also played at BAM Festival and at the VIII Culture and Citizenship Meeting: "Bodies and cultures. Ethnic-racial diversity, cultural participation and coexistence" that took place in Seville.
They have worked as a performance artist with filmmaker Shu Lea Cheang, in an piece, ‘3x3x6’ curated by Paul B. Preciado and commissioned by the Taipei Fine Arts Museum for an art installation for the 58th Venice Bienniale.

Invited by Lua Riberia, Megane was also commissioned by Spain’s most important photography festival, PHotoESPAÑA to participate in an experimental Live Lab alongside artists such as Antoine d’Agata and Ricardo Cases.
They are Monki’s and Polyester's 2021 Queer Creative Fund recipient and was commissioned to shoot the cover and main feature for London’s Polyester Magazine. Taking advantage of the opportunity to make the digital cover for Polyester Zine, Megane filmed their first short-documentary 'Mis Amigas' that has been released this November (2022) at Nahia Film Fest in Granada (Spain) as part of the official selection.
'Mis Amigas' is an audiovisual portrait about friendship an mutual support in art environments, meanwhile depicting the thoughts and current situation of the Spanish art scene through the vision of 10 LGBTIQ+ PoC artists living in Madrid.
They have worked with or featured in campaigns with magazines and brands such as ‘Tinder’, ‘Bimba y Lola’, ‘Levi’s’, ‘WAG1 Magazine’, ‘Metal Magazine’, , ‘GANT’, ‘Absolut Manifesto’, ’Lithium Magazine’. Vogue Spain named them as an emerging artist to watch on their ‘HOT TALENTS 2021’ list.Additionally, they have collaborated with Apoyo Positivo, Valle Eléctrico, Conciencia Afro among others.
